The CRA’s youth soccer program emphasizes fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and positioning while also encouraging important values like sportsmanship, discipline, and cooperation. Spring & Fall Programs
The CRA offers soccer leagues in the spring and fall. Our leagues cater to different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to more advanced players. These leagues emphasize building essential skills, such as ball control, passing accuracy, and teamwork, while providing a fun and competitive atmosphere. Our goal is to develop well-rounded soccer players who not only excel on the field but also demonstrate good sportsmanship off the field.
In addition to league fees, a General Junior Membership is required through the end of the season. If you don’t have a current membership, you’ll be prompted to purchase one during registration.
Co-ed Pre-K & Kindergarten Soccer
This co-ed outdoor league is for Pre-K and Kindergarten age children who must be at least 4 years old. Games are played Saturday mornings at Craneville Elementary School. Teams will have pre-season practices. League fee includes T-shirt and socks. Spring Season runs April through June. Fall Season runs September through October.
Boys Grade 1 & 2 Soccer
This is an instructional outdoor league for boys in grades 1 & 2. Games are played Saturday mornings at Craneville Elementary School. Teams may practice occasionally. League fee includes T-shirt and socks. Spring Season runs April through June. Fall Season runs September through October.
Girls Grade 1 & 2 Soccer
This is an instructional outdoor league for girls in grades 1 & 2. Games are played Saturday mornings at Craneville Elementary School. Teams may practice occasionally. League fee includes T-shirt and socks. Spring Season runs April through June. Fall Season runs September through October.
Co-ed Midget Soccer
This is a co-ed outdoor league for kids in grades 3, 4, and 5. Games will be Saturday mornings and one weeknight per week at the Dalton American Legion. League standings and scores are kept (playoffs conclude the season). League fee includes T-shirt and socks, referees and trophies. Fall Season runs September through October.
Indoor Soccer Clinics
Get Ready for Spring! Kick off the season early with our March Indoor Soccer Clinics, held every Saturday at the DYC. These indoor sessions are the perfect way to shake off the rust, sharpen your skills, and prepare for the upcoming spring season.
Each clinic focuses on individual skill development, situational awareness, and game-time decision making, all wrapped up with fun, competitive scrimmages.
Youth Travel Soccer Programs at the CRA
Our Travel Soccer program offers advanced players the opportunity to compete at a higher level by joining teams that participate in the Berkshire County Youth Soccer League (BCYSL). This competitive league provides players with the chance to test their skills against teams from various communities across the county. Travel soccer focuses on building strong team dynamics, improving individual techniques, and preparing players for more competitive play. It’s ideal for kids who are passionate about soccer and looking for a more challenging experience. Through this program, athletes develop not only their soccer abilities but also leadership, perseverance, and collaboration skills.

Spring Travel Soccer
The CRA offers boys and girls travel soccer teams in 3 divisions – Grades 3&4, 5&6, and 7&8.
The teams will compete in the Berkshire County Youth Soccer League (BCYSL) and will attend a tournament. All players must reside in Central Berkshire Regional School District or attend Central Berkshire Regional School District schools. The league runs from April to June.
Players must attend at least one tryout and are encouraged to attend both tryouts.
Fall Travel Soccer
The CRA offers boys and girls travel soccer teams in 3 divisions – Grades 3&4, 5&6, and 7&8.
These teams compete in the Berkshire County Youth Soccer League (8-10 games) as well as in a “Berkshire Kick-off Classic” held in Pittsfield, the CRA “Just for Kicks Soccer Tournament” in Dalton held Columbus Day Weekend, plus a tournament in November.
Players must attend at least one tryout and are encouraged to attend both tryouts.

About Our Youth Soccer Players
Youth soccer players at the CRA come from all across the Central Berkshires, including Pittsfield, Dalton, Lanesborough, and Hinsdale. They join our program excited to develop their soccer skills, teamwork, and confidence. Kids love the fun, high-energy practices and games, where they improve in dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending—all while building lasting friendships. The CRA creates a welcoming, community-driven environment that encourages healthy competition and nurtures a lifelong love for the game.

Your child must have an annual General Junior Membership active through the end of the registered program. Parents do not need a membership.
