Adaptive Programs

Adaptive Programs for Central Berkshire Youth

The CRA began offering inclusive programs over 20 years ago, originally designed as a peer and mentee program that gave individuals with a range of disabilities the opportunity to participate in physical and social activities in a unified environment.

Today these programs have grown into inclusive programs where both typical and non-typical youth and young adults come together through understanding, empathy, and social skills. Typical youth learn to appreciate diversity and develop inclusive attitudes, while non-typical youth gain opportunities for social interaction and personal growth.

These programs foster a sense of belonging, allowing all youth to build stronger relationships and collaborate in a supportive environment. They also enhance mental and emotional well-being by providing safe spaces for self-expression. Ultimately, inclusive programs empower non-typical youth and enrich the development of typical youth, contributing to a more compassionate and unified community.

If you have questions about these programs or ideas on new programs, we would love to hear from you!
