Financial Assistance
The CRA is committed to providing financial assistance to any youth, adult, or senior who wishes to participate and understands the full benefits of the CRA. Individuals who are unable to pay the full fee may receive partial financial aid based on their ability to pay and the CRA’s available funding. All financial assistance applications and related information will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of determining eligibility. The CRA reserves the right to deny or discontinue service at any time.
About Financial Assistance
- Only the Executive Director or an appointed designee is authorized to grant partial scholarships for low-income applicants. All records are kept confidential.
- Financial Aid and Membership applications must be completed before any awards can be made.
- Required Documentation: A written form of documentation showing your current household income is required with your application. This can include:
- One (1) month’s current pay stubs
- Verification of food stamps
- Social Security assistance
- Child support verification
Important Deadlines
- Completed applications must be submitted at least one full week in advance of the program start date.
- You will be notified of your Financial Aid approval or denial by phone or mail.
Eligibility
- Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need resulting from low income. The CRA must be notified immediately if a change in income is experienced during the assistance period.
- Applicants must provide proof of income for the entire household, not just the income of those who wish to apply from the same home.
- Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to provide a written thank-you letter to the contributors of the CRA with this application.
- Applicants may be asked to provide volunteer service to the CRA.
- The CRA believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the F/A recipient has contributed to the cost of his/her CRA involvement. Therefore, applicants will be asked to pay a portion of the fees.
- Applicants may reapply at the end of the assistance period.
- Applicants with a prior balance due are not eligible to receive F/A.

Please note that income documentation is valid for 12 months. Financial aid will be awarded based on not only the financial eligibility of the applicant but also the overall needs of the individual, couple, or family, and the availability of funds. All records, including income documentation, are handled with the utmost care and will be shared only with authorized personnel involved in the evaluation of your application. All financial aid records are kept secure and confidential.
