POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing the Community Recreation Association’s marketing and communications efforts. Working closely with the Executive Director and program staff, this position manages digital communications, website content, social media, email marketing, print materials, photography, and community outreach to promote programs, events, fundraising initiatives, and the
organization’s mission.

This is an ideal opportunity for a creative, organized professional who enjoys a mix of marketing, graphic design, content creation, communications, and project coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate marketing and promotional efforts for CRA programs, events, fundraising campaigns, memberships, and community initiatives.
  • Manage and update website content, CommunityPass registration listings, and digital communications to ensure information is accurate, engaging, and current.
  • Create and distribute email newsletters, promotional campaigns, and organizational communications while tracking performance and audience engagement.
  • Develop, schedule, and manage content across CRA’s social media platforms, including paid advertising campaigns when appropriate.
  • Design marketing materials including flyers, brochures, signage, social media graphics, and other promotional pieces while maintaining consistent branding.
  • Physical distrobution of marketing materials such as flyers, borchures, signage, ect.
  • Attend community events to promote CRA programming and fundriasers.
  • Capture and create engaging photo and video content, coordinate volunteer photographers when needed, and maintain CRA’s digital media library.
  • Draft press releases, media advisories, and community announcements while building relationships with local media and community partners.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop marketing timelines, support special events and sponsorship initiatives, and evaluate marketing performance to improve community engagement and program participation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong communication, organization, social media, and Canva skills required. Experience with WordPress,
Constant Contact, CommunityPass, photography/videography, digital marketing, nonprofit organizations, and
availability for occasional evenings and weekends preferred.

SUPERVISOR: Program Manager
HOURS: 20-25 hours per week | afterschool, nights, and weekends
PAY: $16-$18/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dalton Youth Center (DYC) Coordinator oversees daily evening and weekend operations while creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for youth, families, and community members. This position provides leadership to DYC staff, supports youth programming, and works collaboratively with CRA staff to ensure successful program operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee DYC evening and weekend operations, including programs, activities, rentals, and special events.
  • Supervise and support DYC staff while ensuring appropriate coverage and a positive program environment.
  • Maintain a safe, organized facility by monitoring activities, supporting behavior management, and enforcing program expectations.
  • Support program administration, including attendance tracking, incident documentation, and program data collection.
  • Assist with youth, teen, and community programming, including creating social media content to promote DYC activities and engagement.
  • Collaborate with CRA staff and provide hands-on support across youth programs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with youth, recreation, childcare, or community programming preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff, manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve independently.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with youth and families while maintaining clear boundaries.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Must pass required background checks.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Recreation Association (CRA) is a nonprofit community house serving people of all ages in Central Berkshire through recreational, social, educational, cultural, and wellness programs. We are seeking a second EEC-Qualified Site Coordinator to lead our after-school Kids Club program at Craneville Elementary School in Dalton, MA. The Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily program operations, supervising staff, ensuring licensing compliance, and fostering a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children in grades K–5.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Recreation Association (CRA) is seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Maintenance Worker to support the maintenance and operation of our facilities, grounds, and athletic fields. This role plays a key part in ensuring our spaces are clean, safe, and prepared for daily use, programs, and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom upkeep)
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, and program spaces
  • Assist with light maintenance (painting, minor repairs, equipment upkeep)
  • Support athletic field preparation and maintenance (lining, setup, cleanup)
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and seasonal transitions
  • Perform basic groundskeeping and weather-related tasks
  • Report on maintenance issues requiring advanced repair

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Strong reliability and ability to work independently
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Experience in custodial, maintenance, or grounds work is a plus but not required

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and wants to be part of a growing, community-focused preschool program. While you won’t be the one making classroom decisions, you’ll be an essential part of the team — helping ensure each child has the best possible early learning experience.

The Dalton Community Recreation Association (CRA) is a collaborative non-profit organization established in 1923, dedicated to building a sense of community by offering social, educational, recreational, cultural, and wellness programs to the Central Berkshire community in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Nights/Weekend Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons using the CRA pool.. This position requires strong attentiveness, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and committed to providing a positive experience for all pool users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Surveillance & Safety: Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Customer Service: Engage with patrons in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Pool Maintenance: Conduct routine checks of pool chemical levels, cleanliness, and equipment functionality.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to all pool rules and CRA policies to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Lifeguard Certification and CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
  • Strong swimming skills and ability to remain vigilant for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires standing, sitting, and patrolling pool areas for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform water rescues as needed.
