Fitness & Exercise Classes for Central Berkshire Youth & Adults

We offer a variety of fitness classes and exercise workshops for individuals and families in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Whether you’re new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, we have something for you! Our classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and challenging for people of all ages and skill levels.

Our motivational and energetic instructors are highly trained and take pride in directing weekly classes that are member-friendly, safe, and best of all, effective in helping you reach your fitness goals. Choose from a variety of fun group exercise classes, including cardio-strength training, yoga, dance fitness, cardio drumming, and boxing—perfect for all shapes and sizes.

Classes are included with your Berkshire Fitness or Full membership, unless otherwise specified, and are also available to non-members for a fee.

We also offer specialized fitness classes and workshops that you must pre-register for which are offered at a discounted rate for members.  Non-members are welcome for a fee.

Adult Boxing

Wednesday: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 9:30am

Step into the ring and elevate your fitness with Boxing, a dynamic class designed to sharpen your skills and boost your strength. Each session includes precision mitt work, powerful heavy bag drills, and fast-paced speed bag exercises, all focused on improving conditioning, agility, and speed.

Gloves are provided.

Cardio Drumming

Wednesday: 8:30am – 9:30am

Get your heart pumping with this high-energy workout that blends drumming with aerobic exercise. Using drumsticks and an exercise ball, participants follow rhythmic movements that engage the core, build endurance, and improve coordination. Set to upbeat music, Cardio Drumming is a fun and dynamic way to boost cardiovascular fitness while burning calories.

Drumsticks and exercise balls are provided.

Flex & Flow Yoga

Saturday: 8:30am – 9:30am

Join us on Saturdays for a class featuring a variety of yoga poses and stretches. A wonderful way to ease into your weekend!

Grind 21

Monday: 5:15am
Wednesday: 5:15am
Friday: 5:15am

Build momentum and create a routine that sticks. Grind 21 is a 21-day fitness workshop designed to help you turn exercise into a consistent habit. Join Mike on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings for workouts that combine strength training, cardio, and functional movement to keep each session challenging and energizing.

Our next workshop is now open for registration, with classes beginning March 30.

Pre-registration is required. This is a specialized fitness workshop and includes an additional program fee.

Hi-Lo Infusion

Monday: 8:30am – 9:30am
Friday: 8:30am – 9:30am

Hi-Lo combines fun basic high- and low-impact choreography that’s easy to follow and is guaranteed to burn lots of calories.

All levels

Power Yoga

Tuesdays: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Thursdays: 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Combine the calm of yoga with the power of resistance. Strength Flow Yoga fuses dynamic flow sequences with weights and resistance bands to build strength, endurance, and stability. Each class emphasizes mindful movement while engaging major muscle groups and integrating core work, leaving you stronger, balanced, and energized.

Pre-registration is required. Additional fee applies for this specialized fitness class.

Super Circut

Monday: 5:00pm – 6:00pm

Push your limits with SUPERCIRCUIT, a dynamic full-body fitness class designed to keep every session fresh and challenging. This class blends aerobic exercises, Tabata intervals, strength training, agility drills, core work, balance exercises, and flexibility stretches in a time-based format.

Expect a fast-paced, varied workout that targets all major aspects of fitness—perfect for anyone looking for a well-rounded, efficient, and energizing session.

Yoga Class

We believe Yoga revitalizes and develops the power of the mind.  The results are achieved using stretching, balance, strength exercises, breathing, and meditation.  Come join us and a sense of well-being will be the result.

Yoga Strength & Stretch

Wednesday: 5:00pm-6:00pm

Join in this fun strength and yoga stretch class which incorporates yoga, Pilates, strength, and balancing moves for a full body workout. Using our own body weight, balls, weights, resistance bands, and more to increase flexibility, strength, and balance.

Beginner/Intermediate

Yoga Stretch

Monday: 4:30pm – 5:30pm

 

Join Yoga Stretch for this gentle to moderate yoga class to open your body with gentle stretching. You will strengthen your core, increase flexibility, and find relaxation. Bring a yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, a yoga strap, and a beach towel.

Beginner/Intermediate

Youth Boxing

Wednesday: 4:00pm – 4:45pm

Kick, punch, and grow with Youth Boxing, a fun and supportive class for kids in grades 3–6! This program teaches fundamental boxing skills—including footwork, punches, and defense—while helping participants build confidence, discipline, respect, and teamwork.

Pre-registration is required.  Additional Charge for this Specialized Fitness Class.

All CRA fitness classes are held at our main facility, conveniently located at 400 Main Street, Dalton, MA. We have a variety of classes throughout the week giving you plenty of options to fit a class into your schedule.

Our fitness studios are equipped for a wide variety of classes, from high-intensity interval training to yoga and everything in between.

Whether you’re dropping in before work or unwinding in the evening, the CRA makes it easy and comfortable to stay active.

The CRA Fitness Center in Berkshire County offers a fully equipped facility designed to support your health and wellness goals. Our cardio area features new treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machine to help you build endurance and stay active.

For strength training, we provide a comprehensive selection of weightlifting stations, free weights, and Free Motion equipment, allowing for versatile, full-body workouts. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, our equipment caters to all levels and fitness needs.

FAQ

No registration is needed for any of the regular classes.

Registration is required for the specialty classes and this is noted in these class descriptions.

You must have a Berkshire Fit or Full membership or purchase a Daily Use Pass to attend the regular classes.

Non-members may pay to attend a specialty class session.  Members will pay a discounted rate for these.

 

No experience is needed! Our classes are designed for all fitness levels, and our trainers are happy to help guide you along the way.

You can become a member  online or in-person at the CRA.
