Youth Lacrosse Programs at the CRA for Berkshire County Kids and Teens
Youth lacrosse is a dynamic and fast-paced sport that blends elements of soccer, hockey, and basketball. At the CRA, our youth lacrosse program introduces kids and teens to this exciting game while teaching them essential skills such as passing, shooting, dodging, and team strategies. Lacrosse is a sport that helps develop athleticism, agility, and hand-eye coordination, while also encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. The program is designed to foster both individual development and collaborative team play. The CRA has been offering youth lacrosse programs for the last three years, providing a welcoming environment for players of all levels. It’s more than a game—it’s a place to grow.

Spring Programs
These programs are offered by the CRA during the spring. Age-appropriate divisions focus on the fundamental skills of lacrosse, including cradling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques. Players work together in a fun, competitive environment that emphasizes teamwork and sportsmanship. Whether your child is new to the game or has some experience, these clinics are designed to develop their skills and boost their confidence.
In addition to league fees, a General Junior Membership is required through the end of the season. If you don’t have a current membership, you’ll be prompted to purchase one during registration.
Girls Lacrosse K – 2 Grade
This is a weekly instructional program for girls who want to learn to pass, catch, pickup ground balls, and practice shooting techniques. Fun games will be incorporated into the instruction. If the schedule allows, scrimmages will be incorporated.
Boys Lacrosse K – 3 Grade
This will be a weekly instructional program for boys. They will learn to pass, catch, pickup ground balls, and practice shooting techniques. Fun games will be incorporated into the instruction. If the schedule allows, scrimmages will be incorporated.
Boys Lacrosse Grades 4 – 6
This will be a weekly instructional program for boys focusing on the fundamentals of passing, catching, and picking up ground balls while running. Fun and competitive games will be incorporated into the instruction.
Girls Travel Lacrosse Bantam Division
This division is for girls in grades 3 & 4. The season will run from May – June with games played across Berkshire County, VT and the Pioneer Valley. Most games are played on weekends, typically one game a week. They will play 6 – 8 regular season games and participate in 3 tournaments.
Girls Travel Lacrosse Junior Division
This division is for girls in grades 5 & 6. The season will run from May – June with games played across Berkshire County, VT and the Pioneer Valley. Most games are played on weekends, typically one game a week. They will play 6 – 8 regular season games and participate in 3 tournaments.
Girls Travel Lacrosse Senior Division
This division is for girls in grades 7 & 8. The season will run from May – June with games played across Berkshire County, VT and the Pioneer Valley. Most games are played on weekends, typically one game a week. They will play 6 – 8 regular season games and participate in 3 tournaments.
Summer Lacrosse Camp
Hey youth lacrosse fans! The CRA’s Summer Lacrosse Camp is perfect for players of all skill levels. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills, he/she will enjoy a fun, supportive environment focused on cradling, passing, shooting, and defense. About Our Youth Lacrosse Players
Youth lacrosse players at the CRA come from throughout the Central Berkshires, including Pittsfield, Dalton, Lanesborough, and Hinsdale. They join the program excited to develop their lacrosse skills, teamwork, and confidence. Kids love the energetic, fast-paced practices and games, where they not only improve in passing, catching, shooting, and defense but also build strong friendships. The CRA creates a supportive and fun environment that helps kids enjoy healthy competition and grow a lasting passion for the sport.
