After School Activities

The Dalton CRA strives to provide the community with ample care for our children when school lets out. The after school hours are prime time for bored children to find trouble. We make it our priority to find alternatives. Whatever the program, we aim to provide a safe, fun atmosphere for the children.

Kids Club

After School
Kids Club is a CRA sponsored childcare program specifically for Craneville Elementary children. The program runs Monday – Friday, 2:55 pm – 5:30 pm.  This is a very popular program so spots will fill up fast. The staff supervises the children in a wide variey of activities, as well as daily homework.

Before School
We are now offering Kids Club Before School Care at Craneville. This program runs Monday-Friday, 7:30-8:25 am. Must sign up for full week for the whole school year.

Dalton Youth Center Drop in Program

The Dalton Youth Center will continue to open at 2:30 pm for kids to come and just hang out in a safe but unstructured environment. There are pool tables, board games and a gymnasium available for use to let off steam from a grueling day of learning. There is adult supervision on premises.

Tutoring – FREE DYC Tutoring Program

The DYC offers free tutoring for students in grades 3-12. To sign-up, contact Dan McMahon at (413) 684-0260, ext  204 to set up a tutoring session time.
